A balanced fertilizer be fine for general use, preferably something that is time released. There are several tailored to citrus like, Life Link Citrus, Avocado Vine Food (7-4-2) or E. B. Stone Citrus Fruit Tree Food (7-3-3). They usually aren't that much different from plain old regular organic fertilizers. Me, I prefer to stick with compost topdressing, and if there are any particular problems, I diagnose them and add the appropriate missing elements. If you are having problems with yellowing leaves, it is usually either lack of fertilizer or poor root drainage. Is it in the ground or a container? If you want to get real special, you can use a higher Potassium fertilizer for flower time and higher nitrogen for leaf growth time, and mix up your own custom blends. Mixtures of Blood Meal, Alfalfa Meal, (nitrogen), Bone Meal (phosphorus), Sulfate of Potash (potassium), Chicken Manure (nitrogen), and Kelp Meal (trace minerals) are all good candidates. Just be careful not to burn plants with too much (hard to do with organic fertilizers).
